A new portable welding end prep tool that features a highly reliable, variable speed 14 Amp electric motor for applications where compressed is not available is being introduced by ESCO Tool of Holliston, Massachusetts.
The Esco Electric Wart MILLHOG® is an I.D. clamping welding end prep tool that can perform any angle of end prep and bevel, face, and bore simultan-eously to produce clean, smooth, and square end preps. Featuring a field-proven Metalbo® 14 Amp electric grinder motor and a robust gear reduction mechanism, this hand-held tool produces variable speeds from 100-200 RPM.
Suitable for machining highly alloyed stainless steel pipe and tube from 3/4” I.D. to 4-1/2” O.D. without requiring cutting oils, the Esco Electric Wart MILLHOG® plugs into either 110/230 VAC and has an internal converter. Field swappable with existing pneumatic units, standard features include the EscoLock™ blade lock system and TiN coated cutter blades.
