A field pipe-cutting saw for water-main installation, maintenance, emergency repair, and other applications involving concrete lined ductile
iron pipe has been introduced by Esco Tool of Holliston, MA.
The MILLOG® APS-438 Air Powered Saw employs a proprietary 12″ abrasive cut-off blade capable of cutting concrete lined ductile iron pipe and is
available with a WrapTrack® System for cutting pipe from 6″ to 60″ dia.
Featuring a trolley that mounts on wrap-around track sections and an articulating arm which keeps the saw blade on its leading edge to produce
square cuts accurate to ±1/16″, it eliminates torch cutting and grinding. Leaving a smooth finish for joining the pipes using couplings, the MILLOG®
APS-438 Air Powered Saw provides a cutting depth of 4″ and is easy to use.
This pneumatic saw is ideal for installing valves, hydrants, tees, tapping sleeves, and for modifying wastewater and sewage force mains, cutting pipe
in treatment-plant renovations, and related fluid distribution applications.
