A new hydraulic motor for their split-frame machine that permits low speed operation with high torque and provides chatter-free cutting of highly alloyed pipe has been introduced by Esco Tool of Holliston, Massachusetts.
The Esco COHOG® Split-Frame Machine features a new hydraulic motor that permits low speed operation with high torque for the chatter-free cutting of Super Duplex and other highly alloyed pipe. Ideal for jobs requiring a high volume of end preps, this clamshell machine has a robust stationary ring machined from 7075 aluminum alloy that is hard coated and supports a custom steel forged, heat-treated and nickel-plated rotating ring.
Available in eight sizes covering the range of 2″ to 24″ O.D. pipe, the Esco COHOG® Split-Frame Machine is available with interchangeable electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic motors. Requiring a 10-15 GPM pump@ 1500 psi, which can be rented or supplied by the user, the hydraulic motor provides variable speeds from 1 to 20 PPM. This split-frame tube and pipe cutter can be precisely aligned and quickly attached without shims or guesswork.
