A broad line of pipe and tube milling tools, especially designed for preparing thin-wall schedule 10 pipe and tube from .5” to 12” O.D. for orbital and fusion welding, has been introduced by Esco Tool of Holliston, MA, USA.
Esco Pipe Beveling Tools for Schedule 10 thin wall pipe and tube include the COHOG® Clamshell Split Frame Machine for pipe and tube from 8” to 12” O.D., the Prepzilla MILLHOG® I.D. clamping tool with rounding pads for 4” to 10” O.D., and the C-HOG®, which grips the O.D. for small pipe and tube from ½” to 3”. All of these tools use flat facing and pre-angled cutter blades of 30°, 37-1/2°,’ J, and custom angles.
Featuring radical chip breakers that transfer heat away from the pipe and tube surfaces to help maintain structural integrity and a precise bevel, standard blades for Esco Pipe Beveling Tools for Schedule 10 thin-wall pipe and tube are TiN-Coated, and Hard-Lube versions are offered for superior heat resistance. These tools are offered in pneumatic and electric models.
