MILLHOG® Cutter Blades produce a thick chip without cutting fluids on high alloy pipe and tube.
MILLHOG® Cutter Blades are rigidly held in the Cutterhead with the ESCO Blade Lock Wedge and the right and left hand double threaded Blade Lock Screw. This combination takes full advantage of the Blade Locks angled surface that makes full contact with the Cutter Blade’s mating surface and the Blade Lock Screw that tightens the Blade Lock against the Cutter Blade with unmatched force.
Additionally, MILLHOG® Cutter Blades have a radical chip breaker that directs the chip away from the tube or pipe surface and minimizes heat build-up on the cutting edge. These unrivaled sequences are reasons why MILLHOG® Cutter Blades produce perfect end preps on all alloy, free from chatter and ready to weld.
Cutter Blades are offered with two coating choices for ultimate performance.
- Titanium Nitride Coated (TiN) adds lubricity and helps the Cutter Blade to prep cooler.
- Hard Lube Coating offers additional heat resistance and extends Cutter Blade life on Super Duplex and other challenging alloys.
Either way, MILLHOG® Cutter Blades are designed to cut without cutting fluids and may be sharpened for additional life. The Tube Weasel uses the G Series Cutter Blades.
